Winding Road Tours reserves the right to cancel a trip
due to unsafe weather. Our rain policy calls for cancellation in steady rain, while
light rain or the chance of showers does not automatically mean the end of a trip.
Only Winding Road Tours can determine if a trip will be cancelled. Cancellation decisions
will be made on the morning of a trip by 6:00 a.m. You will be notified by phone
if a trip has been cancelled, or you may call the Bike Wire: 877-4WRT-HELP
(877-497-8435) after 6:00 a.m. on the day of a trip.
If you have reservations for a trip that gets cancelled, due to rain, you have a choice
of booking another trip for the same season, or receiving a refund for the amount of
the trip minus the twenty five dollar non-refundable deposit. Rain cannot be stopped,
but we do our best to keep you dry and happy.
If the weather changes during a trip, we will do our best to accommodate you and continue
with safe activities. Please understand that cancellation decisions are made for your
safety and are made at the discretion of the trip leaders. All decisions made by trip
leaders are non-negotiable. |

Any comfortable clothing that you would normally
wear for an active day is fine—shorts
and T-shirts are acceptable. Wicking fabrics are always a great option. Cycling apparel
is often the best choice and always appropriate. Be sure to wear closed toe shoes;
sandals are not recommended for safety reasons. Many of our trips are in coastal or
mountainous locations, which tend to vary in weather. Remember to check the forecast
before your trip to plan properly for the day.

 |
6. | |
 | We don’t take ourselves too seriously…except
when it comes to safety. While cycling is not an extreme sport, we are cycling on open
roads with vehicular traffic. Helmets are the single most important piece of gear on
any bike ride. They help keep minor incidents just that…minor, without a helmet,
even a minor incident can turn into a big problem. No one will be allowed to participate
in a tour without a helmet. Sorry, but this one is non-negotiable.

 | There is room in the support van for one small bag/ backpack
per rider. You must be able to hold the pack in your lap while in the van, so please
keep the size small to be courteous to other guests. The bags will remain locked
in the van at all times, but please do not bring any valuables to be left sitting unattended.
Of course, any bag or pack that you choose to carry during the ride is acceptable;
just be sure that you can secure it while you peddle to ensure a fun experience on
the bike.

The following is available in the van the at all times:

Should you decide you’ve had enough cycling for the day,
you may continue on the trip in our van. We’ll show you how to signal the van
and/or ride leaders to make sure they know you need to be picked up. You can also call
our toll free Bike Wire: 877-4WRT -HELP (877-497-8435) to be connected directly to
a trip leader. |

While it is always a good idea to carry your own spare tubes
and know how to use them, our trip leaders are experienced cyclists and can assist
in flat changing and other minor roadside repairs. |
 |
14. | |
 |
You will have a detailed cue sheet with directions for your ride,
but if, at any time, you find yourself lost call our toll free BikeWire, and we can
either direct you back on course or send a leader to find you. |

No way man. There are always vegetarian food options. Typical veggie
meals include grilled local vegetables, hummus and salads. Standby PB&J and energy bars are
also available on every trip. |

We use only the best and most secure bike racks. All
of our bike racks are “no touch” Yakima King Cobra bike racks. They securely transport your bike without
contacting the frame so there is no chance of damage to your ride. The racks can accommodate
any bicycle (road, mountain or anything in between) with a 20” or larger wheel. |
 |

|
 |
No worries! If you don’t have your own bicycle, give us a call
and we can arrange a rental from a local bike shop. |
